36.5

week 36
i have 3 1/2 weeks left until my due date

i go to dr. b on thursday to see how things are progressing or if they are at all!
and i'm in a bit of a dilemma...there are 8 doctors at my dr's office. they take turns being on call evenings and weekends. do i go into labor naturally and take a big chance that dr. b will not be the one who delivers sadie? or do i schedule an induction (after week 39) when dr. b can do it?
i personally don't want to be induced unless i am dilated/effaced on my own, but i have also spent 9 months seeing my doctor and feel weird about some other dr. being there for the most important part!
anybody had this experience??
........................................................................................
in other news...my green sweater is CLEAN!! so i guess mike is off the hook for getting me another sweater from anthro {wink}
what are you doing today?
i am enjoying the cold, grey weather from inside my warm house.
i am making chicken soup and grilled cheese sandwiches for dinner.
i am (hopefully) finishing a victoria holt book called 'house of a thousand lanterns'.
i am calming down from a super busy week and weekend.
enjoy your day!

  1. Glad you are staying home where it's cozy! Brrr it's cold and messy out today. Well, you already know my thoughts...if at all possible go into labor naturally, but then I understand wanting your doctor...maybe it will turn out that way!

So glad about your pretty sweater!

  2. Oh my goodness! I got chills when you said 3 1/2 weeks left. That is crazy! In a few days you'll be able to say "Sadie will be here THIS month". Can't wait!

  3. Girl, you're still looking like a rock star! Honestly, don't worry about who delivers Sadie. I promise when the time comes, you won't care if it's Brad Pitt or Darth Vador! :) :) :)

  4. oohh! i love reading and being cozy on cold days! love that book too. i don't know what to tell you but i have heard lately that inducing does make labor harder. i love lauren's comment--cracked me up!

  5. Hey girl...I live in Waco too and I had the same dilemma when I was pregnant with my daughter. I was induced on my due date so that my doctor could be there and I ended up having my daughter around 7 pm and he had already gone home and his associate that was on call delivered her anyway. It's definitely a tough call! Just thought I'd throw my ten cents in!! Good Luck!!
